From Concept to Launch: Tier1 Coatings Rebrand Project

Crafting a fresh identity for a thriving business isn't just about a new logo or a website redesign; it's about encapsulating the essence of the brand in every pixel and every line. This is the journey we embarked on with Adam and Courtney from Perth Concrete Solutions, a company with a solid foundation in concrete solutions but with aspirations that stretched far beyond the Perth skyline, reaching into the heart of Kalgoorlie and the wider goldfields region.



The Genesis of a New Brand

Our adventure began in October 2023, over a casual coffee at our Joondalup studio. It's here that the best ideas percolate. This initial discovery meeting wasn't just a chat; it was an essential step in understanding the depth and breadth of their business. It's like going on a first date but with your business - you want to put your best foot forward, and so do we.


After some creative brainstorming and a few days of back-and-forth research, the name Tier1 Coatings was born (props to Courtney). It's a name that paints (pun intended) a broad stroke of their expertise while tipping the hat to the high-calibre clients they serve.



Bringing Tier1 Coatings to Life

Our graphic designers, who are more like magicians, conjured up several logo concepts. The winning design was a masterpiece of symbolism, with five layers representing the company's multifaceted expertise. This logo wasn't just designed; it was engineered to adapt and thrive across various platforms, from business cards to billboards.

Expanding on this, the design process was a deep dive into the essence of Tier1 Coatings' brand identity. Each layer of the logo was meticulously thought out, symbolising the layers of service and expertise Tier1 Coatings offers. From the initial sketches to the final design, our team focused on creating a logo that was not only visually striking but also rich in meaning. The adaptability of the logo across different mediums showcases our commitment to creating a brand identity that is as versatile as it is distinctive. This attention to detail ensures that Tier1 Coatings stands out in a crowded market.


Then came the creation of the brand guide, a 20-page tome that serves as the North Star for all things Tier1 Coatings. This document is so crucial; it's like the rulebook for brand consistency, ensuring that no matter where the brand goes, it remains unmistakably Tier1.




The Digital Transformation

Our web development phase was akin to an archaeological dig, uncovering the gems among competitor sites before crafting a bespoke website that stands as a digital monument to Tier1 Coatings' excellence. This website wasn't just built; it was sculpted, with every click and scroll in mind, ensuring a user experience that's as smooth as their finest epoxy coating.




The journey from concept to launch was a collaborative effort, involving countless hours of strategy, design, and development. Our team worked closely with Adam and Courtney to ensure that every element of the website - from the user interface design to the content strategy—was tailored to meet the needs of their target audience. The website serves not just as a digital brochure but as a platform that tells the story of Tier1 Coatings, highlighting their expertise, services, and the value they bring to each project. 



Capturing the Brand Essence

The video production phase was where Tier1 Coatings' brand story took flight. Over four days, our videographers captured the essence of their work, from the precision of their line markings to the beauty of their decorative finishes. The result? A suite of videos that not only showcase their expertise but also encapsulate the heart and soul of Tier1 Coatings.


Delving deeper, the video production phase was an opportunity to bring the static elements of the brand to life. Through dynamic visuals and storytelling, we were able to convey the craftsmanship, attention to detail, and innovation. The videos serve as a testament to the company's commitment to quality and excellence, providing a compelling narrative that resonates with viewers. 




Let’s wrap this up.

From the first sip of coffee with Adam and Courtney to the final click on their new website, the journey has been one of collaboration, creativity, and coffee (lots of it).
