How CEOs for Gender Equity Turned Years of Expertise Into A Job Share Platform.

CEOs for Gender Equity, a WA charity representing more than 70 chief executives, spent months with Perth's best HR professionals building a massive body of knowledge on job sharing. It added up to thousands of hours of expertise in a single PDF, easily copied and hard to search. Monday Media turned it into the Job Share Toolkit: an interactive platform with three content lenses, six self-assessment diagnostics, a cost modelling tool and 21 professional resources, licensed to organisations through annual seat subscriptions.

[ why they came to us ]

Years of Expert Knowledge Locked in a Single PDF.

CEOs for Gender Equity saw a gap nobody else was filling. No industry body was leading on job sharing, so they did the hard part themselves: months of work with some of the best HR professionals in Perth, building a body of knowledge that covers every facet of how job sharing actually works.

Out in the community, the picture stayed messy. Myths and confusion circulated unchallenged, and every business worked out its own policies alone. Meanwhile the answer to all of it sat in one document: a PDF representing thousands of hours of work and years of accumulated knowledge.

That format was the problem. Sold as a document, it could be copied and passed around the moment the first copy left the building. And even in honest hands, a static PDF is hard to search, hard to navigate by role, and hard to get real value from.

Employers wanting to offer job sharing had nowhere authoritative to turn.

Myths and confusion about job sharing circulated unchallenged in the community.

Years of expert knowledge sat in a single PDF, easily copied once sold.

A static document is hard to search, navigate by role, or get value from.

No way for a reader to measure their own readiness for job sharing.

No credible way to model what a job share arrangement actually costs.

[ what we built ]

The Whole Body of Knowledge, Interactive and Protected.

CGE arrived with the intellectual property finished and a clear worry: offered for sale as a document, it would be copied in a click. The design took its shape from the three audiences the knowledge serves, organisations, people leaders and individuals, and from a firm privacy principle that what a person learns about their own readiness belongs to them alone.

The finished system is a subscription platform where organisations buy seats and their people search the toolkit, test their readiness and model real arrangements, replacing the PDF it began as.

01 / Diagnostics

Test your readiness, and only you see the results.

Six self-assessment instruments score readiness for job sharing, from the organisation down to the individual, with instant results and clear bands. Results stay private to the person who completed them. Not their manager, not their employer, not even CGE can see them, so people answer honestly.

Solves: No way for a reader to measure their own readiness for job sharing.

02 / Budgeting tool

Model the real cost of sharing a role.

Set up two to four people sharing a role, adjust salaries, hours and overlap, and compare the cost against a single full-time hire, with retention and vacancy assumptions built into the methodology. Scenarios save for later and finished reports can be shared as a link.

Solves: No credible way to model what a job share arrangement actually costs.

03 / Living content

The whole toolkit searchable by who you are.

The knowledge is organised across three lenses, for organisations, people leaders and individuals, and broken into sections you can search, bookmark and mark as read. Personal notes, checklists and a glossary sit alongside, so the toolkit behaves like a tool rather than a document.

Solves: A static document is hard to search, navigate by role, or get value from.

04 / Seat licensing

Organisations buy once and run their own access.

An organisation subscribes to a seat package, and their super user invites, removes and manages their own people without CGE lifting a finger. Access is controlled per person, per seat, so the knowledge is protected in a way a document for sale never was.

Solves: Years of expert knowledge sat in a single PDF, easily copied once sold.

Across the team, roughly three working days a week came back. That time went into client conversations and referral relationships, the work that actually grows a brokerage.

"What really stood out was their responsiveness, professionalism and willingness to work through challenges with us. We couldn’t be happier with the finished product and have been genuinely blown away by what they have created."
